The Cory Aquino Stamps Limited Edition

Today is the 40th day of the death of our former Madame President Corazon C. Aquino. Befitting with the observation, the Philpost Corporation has issued a limited edition bearing photos of the late prezzy.

The stamps has a face value of Php 7.00 a piece. Philatelist like me should avail of these once in a lifetime stamps...

It is still raining endlessly for a week now and I prayed that this day will be a sunny one. It's Sunday and I have to go to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Aranzazu in Brgy. Guitnang Bayan, Gen. Luna Road, San Mateo Rizal- the only two of its kind here in the Philippines. The other one is enshrined @ the San Juan de Letran College.

San Mateo is located at the western side of Novaliches. I haven't been here and I was surprised that San Mateo is near the Sandigan in Commonwealth Avenue, Fairview.

What to do on a rainy day?

It was a long week end as PGMA declared MOnday as a special non working holiday as Erano "Ka Erdy" G. Manalo was buried. Despite the continuous downpour of monroon rains didnt stop the INC supporters to flock the Iglesia Ni Cristo Central Temple along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City. Over the last few days, I’ve spent more and more time offline. I really like it. I’ve been reading a lot and spending time with my myself and Christian as I can't go to the nearby provinces.

I don’t like being constantly tethered to the internet.. It’s also why I don’t really check on my social networking accounts- Myspace, Facebook, Friendster, Plurk, Multiply, etc anymore. I barely log in once every few weeks.

I’ve been reading The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Neffinegger. I’m just reading it again. After I watched the movie version last Friday. In between substituting, I’ve been getting all of the paperwork ready for tomorrow as I brought some at home.

It was nice having about three days off. I have many backlogs on my blog entries. I didn’t have to write anything either... It was very relaxing as I watch the rain drops on the glass window.
