I am sure that almost all of us are familiar with the iLs de Tul. It might sounds French but it aint. Pinoys have the penchant of beautifying our language to more foreign sounding so as to evolve and make more "social" and high class. Much more so as to coin another slang for it.
iLs de Tul is aka "the ilalim ng Tulay" which literally means under the bridge of course of the Quiapo Bridge which is haven of native handicratfs which include wood carvings, capiz lanterns, plastic covered lanterns, bamboo lampshades, horns of carabaos, grass skirts, native bags, and other pasalubongs which are usually bought by balikbayans and foreigners alike.
