The San Luis Gonzaga Church, Poblacion, San Luis, Pampanga
My trip to the town of San Luis has been set aside for the longest time. MY first attempt was the time i took the Baliuag route and ended up in the town proper and met Al Khalil Melencio. Then, i was forewarned by my boyfriend. And he doesnt like to travel. Hohum...a very good boyfriend indeed. LOLZ...According to him and the other Kapampangans whom I dealt with, transportations are rare after 16:00. Once a stranger stayed after four, one cant go back to SM Pampanga anymore. I was terrified and challenged @ the same time. Why on green earth does San Luis be so dangerous? Whoa! my dear readers and followers, pls take heed as i narrate my once in a lifetime experience.
It's not that DANGEROUS NOR PERILOUS as it seemed. My connotation was that they are MEN. you know those stuff of being "Kursunada". Of course, men will give a strange look and the other will get offended and they will start a fight. So no such thing will take place if a stranger is a FEMALE. YES, Virginia, much more a pretty female, a damsel in distress. alone...
If one can is required to stay after 16:00 there's an alternative route. The ever reliable tricycles. Just ask the tricycle drivers to bring you to the Circle. From there. lots of aircon buses are coming from the Arayat/Sta. Ana routes. See? its not that scary after all.
Ok after gathering enough strength and signs from above. i have been praying to guide me in whatever perils i will encounter. i headed to SAn Luis last Sunday, July 17,2011.
While on my way to San Luis, i passed by @ the town of Mexico and then the circle similar to Quezon City Circle though its smaller in size.
As i alighted from the jeepney, i immediately noticed that San Luis is a quaint sleepy town. I see the majestic church and i was awed by its presence and architecture.
The sight of the grand old staircase was extremely unfathomable. its like ive been teleported way back during the Spanish time and i remembered the movie "Somewhere in Time". My hands crept to touched the wooden handrail.
Thank you so much, my dear Lord, i made it FINALLY and who knows i may return anytime as ive been here before and its not that scary after all.
